Reference only, BidBrain does not use this to calculate anything itself. Motorway and Carwow already know where you are, each from the postcode set directly in your own account on that platform, and do their own distance filtering from it before a car ever reaches here. Keep this in sync with what is actually set on each platform so it is visible in one place.
Display only, never a gate: a car above this still gets priced, gated and counted as normal, it is just hidden from the cockpit's live view by default (the sidebar's own Max bid AND Reserve filters both start pre filled with it on load, clear either box, or click Reset, to see everything for that session). Leave empty for no ceiling.
Controls the actual recommended max bid on every car, the same for every auction house. Governing value is Glass's or Cazana retail plus the uplift below; max bid is the governing value minus the flat spread.
The flat spread covers prep, buyer fees, VAT on the margin, transport and profit on every car. The £10,000 governing threshold and the engine ban rules stay code only.
How the Retail est. figure itself is worked out, once a car is bought: Cazana retail ×1.15, plus a flat margin, rounded to the nearest price ending. Genuinely different from "Retail uplift, %" in the pricing formula above, which only affects the maximum BID, not this resale figure.
A ceiling on the figure itself, on the Purchases page and pushed to DealerKit as Retail Price. A purchase above this cap shows and pushes at the cap instead of the formula's own higher figure. Leave empty for no cap. A manual edit on the Purchases page row always wins over this cap.
Rejected outright, whatever the rest of the car looks like, across every auction house.
Specific make and model combinations, rejected regardless of price.
| Make | Model |

Model name tokens treated as a van or commercial, not a car.
Rejected when CAP Clean is over the cap. Leave model blank for any model of that make. Exceptions are model names that skip the cap, comma separated.
| Make | Model | Cap £ | Exceptions |

Rejected when CAP Clean is over the limit below. Below it they are fine.
Structured rules (engine text matches, make and year restrictions), not simple lists, so these stay code only. Ask your Claude to add or change one.
What Details on a live auction card opens. The record drawer is the full slide in panel with photos, the max bid receipt, CompMatch, history and flags. The pop-up is the small floating panel it replaced, flags and valuation chips only, over the card itself.
Every colour below is genuinely independent, changing one never touches the others. Background is the app's own base colour behind every page. Price colour is the big retail and max bid figures. Pill colour is badges like the room pill and the stock count. Icon colour is buttons, links and the active item in the left panel. Left panel colour is the sidebar's own background tone. Red, amber and green status colours (warnings, condition grades) and the Motorway/Carwow platform badges are not covered here, they carry their own real meaning and always stay as they are.
Shown at the top of the left panel: the full logo while it is open, the small mark alone once it is collapsed to a rail. Real image files only (PNG, JPG, WebP or SVG), kept under about 1.5MB. Leave either as the default to use Right Drive's own real logo.
The small icon shown in the browser's own tab for every page. Leave as the default to use the small logo mark above.
The answers each dropdown on the purchases page offers, this dealership's own (Steven 2026-08-27, "marks can be his own"). Add new answers, reorder them, or retire the ones no longer used. Removing an answer still sitting on real cars is refused, retire it instead: a retired answer stays readable on the cars that carry it but is never offered again.
On, the car's journey is Bought, Video check, Collection, Arrived, and the Video column shows on the working list. Off, the video stage and column disappear entirely, the journey runs straight from Bought to Collection.
When on for a platform, recording a chip re reads that platform's own fee band at the new price and freezes the new fee onto the chip. Carwow fees follow the ORIGINAL price, so Carwow stays off unless their billing changes. The fee band tables themselves live in the code, deliberately, they only ever change when a platform publishes new ones.
Off means it is never read again, not by the scheduled daily run and not by Run now, until switched back on here. Cars already on the list from it stay exactly as they are, they are not removed.
Every car from this auction house must pass all of these or it is rejected outright.
Auction4Cars only ever gives a depot name, never exact miles, so this is its distance check: only cars at a depot listed here show. Leave empty to not filter by depot at all (today's default).
Auction4Cars and DealerWay have no condition grade at all, judged by eye from the photos instead, so the grades above have no effect for either. Dealer Auction has a real condition grade and keeps it. Motorway and Carwow read the exact distance separately, this limit only applies when they can supply one.
Everything BidBrain logs in to, plus every back office automation beyond the auction platforms and valuation sources themselves. Anything broken floats to the top. Turning an automation off both hides its button on the cockpit's Run menu and stops it running at all, whether started from the page, the API, or (DealerKit stock only) the scheduled daily run.
Your DMS. Stock counts feed the cockpit's gap, ok and too many flags, and purchases can be pushed in as Due In records with photos and documents.
Working, logged in today. Logs itself back in daily at 17:00.
DealerKit stock read
Pulls DealerKit's in stock list each day (and via the Run DealerKit stock button) so cars can carry a gap, ok or too many stock flag.
DealerKit purchases push
Pushes new purchases into DealerKit as Due In records with photos, service history documents, V5 and purchase price.
The retail valuation source every run prices on. No on or off switch, every run always uses it.
Working, logged in today. Logs itself back in daily at 17:00.
Daily auction stock, purchases and lost bids.

Mark's Dealer OS platform. BidBrain sends its finished daily list (the shortlisted and held cars, each with its price) into Dealer OS's own BidBrain page after every run, using the shared secret in dealer_config.py. Dealer OS only displays the list, all the buying rules stay here.
Working, list sent today.
Dealer OS list push
Sends the finished daily list into Dealer OS after every run (and via the Run modal's Dealer OS button). Needs DEALER_OS_BASE_URL and DEALER_OS_API_KEY in dealer_config.py.
Update itself when a new release is published
Every few minutes, when nothing is running, the Mac checks GitHub for a newer BidBrain release and installs it, restarting BidBrain for about a minute. Off means only the Update now button updates it.
Multi day auction platform, read daily for lots ending within the week.
Working, last logged in 43 days ago.
Right Drive's second Motorway account, accounts@rightdrive.co.uk, its own separate login and browser profile. Only ever used to receive a copy of every starred car's own shortlist sync, alongside the primary account, so whoever completes a purchase (which needs this inbox's own SMS code) sees the same shortlist. Never reads stock or places a bid.
